Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Thomas

Yes, it is true! Jeff is finally married!!!! He married Wendie Hansen last Saturday (4/25/09) in the St. George Temple. Her 12 yr. old son Skylar was also sealed to them that day. The reception was the Friday before, so you will see those pictures first. I'm so excited for them. I love Wendie and Skylar (oh, and Jeff too). Wendie looked so gorgeous and I am so grateful to have another sister-in-law.

Ya know... I have been somewhat disappointed that I'm having a boy, but I have to admit it has been really fun going to Skylar's baseball games:) I guess it won't be that bad. That is what I grew up doing, so that is what I know. I did include a picture of me being 26 wks pregnant. It will probably be one of the only ones you will see until I get further along. Besides, I am usually the one taking the pictures anyways.

Tell the Truth Tag!

6 PET PEEVES

1. Hypocrites
2. Bad drivers (Just use your blinkers and follow the signs for cryin out loud!)
3. People who criticize everything about Beaver because they didn't grow up here. We may not like it either, but we are both living here regardless.
4. Words spelled incorrectly or used wrong. (i.e. to, too, two)
5. Just because someone's dad is the seminary teacher, bishop, stake president, or whatever, doesn't mean that YOU don't have to be a good example too. Why should all the responsibility be on them?
6. Couples that fight constantly. (Just get over it already, nobody wants to hear it!)

3 THINGS YOU DON'T LIKE ABOUT YOUR HOME

1. Too small, not enough bedrooms, bathrooms, or storage.
2. Too many doors and windows. We have an outside door in 5 out of the 7 rooms in our house. That is pretty much every room!!
3. Old houses were NOT built to be practical...enough said!!

3 THINGS YOU WOULD CHANGE IN AMERICAN HISTORY

1. The wigs the men wore.
2. I wouldn't leave God out of anything. Duh!
3. Segregation.

3 THINGS YOU WOULD CHANGE IF YOU WERE PRESIDENT

1. Stay at home moms would get paid a salary, the goverment can pay day care providers, why not moms? (I stole this one from Sharee-LOVED IT!!) Doesn't that make so much sense. It would help the crime rate they always complain about.
2. I would change something so you could get credit cards and actually pay them off. You can get one now, but they are designed so you can never pay them off. ( I don't even have one for that reason-not even for an emergency)
3. It would be so much easier just to pay of the principle of your mortgage, since 99% of what you pay is interest. Can't we figure something out??

I hereby tag: Anyone! I didn't think I would be able to be this negative, but once I started writing...I started thinking of a million things LOL!!

April Fools!

I found out what I was having a couple weeks before April Fool's Day, so I decided to play a little joke on Wes. The first picture shows the original balloons I brought home, informing him it was a girl. I let several people in on the secret and they gladly agreed to play along. Some think I am cruel, but I just think I'm funny:) I did feel pretty bad because I had to lie to Annie at first, too. Oh, and I couldn't tell my dad either. They are both blabber mouths. The second picture is from April Fool's Day. We tied the balloons to a little outfit and gave Wes a card telling him we were really having a boy!! He was pretty excited. I'm still a little sad because I really wanted another girl, but I can't change that, so I guess I will start looking for boy clothes (gag).
Wes did tell me that someone had spilled-the-beans and told him already (THANKS VERY MUCH) but it was still fun. Nobody had told my dad yet so at least we fooled someone!!

We almost caught a Leprechaun!!!

This year for St. Patrick's Day, we tried to catch a Leprechaun. Annie made a "trap" at Grandma Deb's house. It's a Leprechaun hat with a hole in the top. Of course there is a piece of green felt laid gently across the top to trick the Leprechaun. There was also fake gold to lure him up there. They built a small stick ladder and posted a sign that said, "Don't climb the ladder!" He didn't listen because he wanted the (fake) gold so bad. Needless to say, his shoe got stuck on the top of the trap and he was in such a hurry he knocked over chairs in the house. Grandma also set out a cookie sheet coated in flour in hopes he would walk across it so we could see his footprints. It worked!! You'll also notice the Lucky Charm cereal we used to coax him to the kitchen table where the trap was. He left a note saying he needed his shoe back, so if we left it out, he would trade it for a bucket of gold!! The last picture shows the bucket of gold he left us. But, he tricked us too. He filled the bucket with chocolate gold coins, and only layered the top with gold dollars. I think it was 5 dollars worth so Annie was pretty excited.
