School at last!!

The First Day of School!I had to post this picture.
She is so skinny, and the flat bookbag doesn't help:)
The Second Day of School!
Caprie has to walk with her everyday,
then she cries cuz she can't stay with her big sister.
I love her freckles....even though I hate mine.
She couldn't wait to get homework, haha. Boy, will that change:)
Of course Caprie needs to do homework too.

Annie has lost a tooth, Hooray!

On August 12th, Annie finally lost her first tooth! She has been asking me for about six months when she will start to lose her teeth. I have been telling her not until 1st grade just in case she didn't lose any right away. But, one morning she woke up and I notice her two bottom teeth were crooked!! It scared me at first, LOL, but then I realized they could just be loose. Sure enough they were both loose:) Only a few days later, Wes pulled it out for her. I thought that would be a disaster, but no tears were shed so I think we are OK. We are a few days away from starting Kindergarten. She has Mrs. Sagers and will be going in the mornings. She said she couldn't wait to tell Mrs. Sagers about her tooth because now that means she is REALLY ready for Kindergarten:)
We borrowed Grandma's Tooth Fairy Pillow for the night.
It has a small pocket for the tooth and you hang it by your bed.

The pocket.

Here it is. Ready for the big night.
The ribbon across the front says Tooth Fairy Visit Me Tonight.

When I asked Annie how much she thought the tooth fairy would bring,
she said, "A thousand dollars!!" Uncle Jeff was visiting and we both looked at each other and laughed. I told Annie if the tooth fairy brings you a thousand dollars, then Uncle Jeff and I were going to start pulling our teeth out too. It was pretty funny.

She got $5.00 and was pretty excited that it was more than
Wes or I got when we were little:) We got $.50 or $1.00.

After we got the Tooth Fairy Pillow ready, we goofed around with the camera and ate rice crispy treats. Wes was at work and Cragun was sleeping so it was kindof like a girl's night out!!

Annie's Haircut

Annie's hair was getting pretty long, but it always seemed to have snarls.
So, we decided to cut it the other night:)

He gave the kids their own pots to take home!!

Grandpa + Swimming = FUN!!!

While Dei-ja and Elsie were visiting, we decided to go swimming. We actually went twice. Just the girls went the first time while Grandpa and I supervised:) But, Grandpa brought them back later and went swimming with them!! Now that may not seem like a big deal, but I haven't seen my dad swim for years!!
Caprie, Dei-ja, Elsie, and Annie.
Cragun was there too!

Grandpa swimming some laps:) I remember when he went lap
swimming every morning at the city pool!!

Jeff even showed up...but wouldn't swim. Party pooper!

Dei-ja teaching Caprie to kick.

Caprie "jumping" to Grandpa.

Grandpa, Annie, and Caprie.

Here is Grandma. She does not swim...ever!
Wes was working so he couldn't get in either:(

It was a nice day to swim.
That is one thing I have really missed this summer!

I stole these pictures from my sister-in-law's blog (thank you Heidi), but I loved them so I wanted to post them on mine too:)

Uncle Morgan is always telling the girls that he is allergic to kids....but look he's still alive!!
This is my girls with Aunt Heidi. I LOVE this picture!! I have great sister-in-laws!!

I wish I were little again!

Caprie will swim her little heart out even if it's freezing outside.

Cragun Wesley McNeill

Cragun Wesley McNeill joined our family July 29, 2009, at 6:26 pm. He weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long. It was a long emotional day for me and I experienced a lot of "firsts" but I wouldn't trade it for the world (as most mothers would say). We arrived at the hospital at 6:00 am to get set up for my induction. I was 39 wks. and 1 day gestation and very ready to have this baby. Dr. Roger Smith arrived around 7, discussed a few things then placed the Cytotec (a pill they put on the cervix to help "ripen" it). I have had Cytotec with both girls, so I pretty much knew what to expect. Wait, wait, wait, OK we are ready to push. Well, we did a short trial run at "pushing" and decided to have Dr. Smith come and see if we were making any progress. No progress, but his left hand was coming out:) Yep, this little guy was going to make things a little more difficult. Not really a big deal. Let's see if he will still come out. Push some more. No progress. Going to try and get the hand back in there so there is more room for his head. OUCH!! But it's back in there. Push some more. No progress. Must be coming slightly sideways? Wait, wait, wait, OK now let's push some more. No progress (surprise, surprise). Long story short, going in for C-Section see ya in a half hour. Wow, BIG boy, could've been pushing all night and still wouldn't have fit!! Yay!! It's over and we are all tired and sore. But, we are all getting rest and recovering very well. Why do men have to be so difficult:) LOL- What a journey!!
