Wake-Up Call!!

I was feeding Cragun sweet potatoes for lunch and they were getting everywhere...and I mean everywhere. He was grabbing the spoon, the bowl, my arm and smearing his lunch all over. I'm sure we have all experienced this a thousand times. But, I kept thinking to myself, "I hate the baby-food stage". I hate the look, the smell, the texture, and most of all the hassle. It's quite embarassing to admit that but there is a lesson to be learned. I definately had a rude awakening as I was "blog-surfing" to catch up with friends and family. I noticed on someone's blog list Bronson's Miracle. Of course I had to check this blog out. The post I read was the testimony of a young mother who has had a month long struggle to keep her youngest son alive after a near-drowning accident in their home. I read several postings where Sara, his mother, repeatedly expresses her gratitude for the gospel, her family and friends, her husband, and most of all her children. She is very specific when she talks about her childred. It really hit home to me when she told how she was so grateful that she could clean up the crackers they drop from the high chair, etc. How could I be so selfish and complain about my healthy happy children making messes and me having to clean up yet another mess?? Where would my life be without them?? I could not imagine life without them. I love them more than I can even put into words. I have grown up today!! If you want to read the story of Bronson and his Miracle click on this link. Here are some of her inspiring words:
"For now, please hug your babies a little tighter...
Give your children a little extra squeeze...
Be a little more patient and diligent
and a little less distracted by the things that will wait until later.
Embrace the things that matter most!
.Life is so fragile...
We are holding onto it for now."

I love my family!

Sometimes it takes us seeing (or remembering) experiences to make us appreciate how much we are blessed. You have such a beautiful family and you truly are blessed!!

Uh...yeah!! Kyle and I just read her blog last night and BALLED!! You need to go back and read her first post on Feb. The story that tells exactly what happened. From start to finish! Its sooooo sad. They came into my ER and my friends were the ones working on him. But yes, I try to enjoy every moment I have with Bailey and try not to get frusterated. Life is too short.

It's funny how our lives seem so hard, then we find someone who has it worse, and we find our trials are really our greatest blessings!
